ENAP, INC. TO RELOCATE CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS TO NEW BUILDING AT NY INTERNATIONAL PLAZA:
Lumber and Building Materials Cooperative to Move into 555 Hudson Valley Ave. in the Summer of 2005; Site Work Has Begun
New Windsor (December 22, 2004) Commercial real estate development company First Columbia today announced that ENAP, Inc. a lumber and building materials co-operative servicing independent lumber dealers east of the Mississippi will relocate its corporate headquarters to 555 Hudson Valley Ave., a new 49,000-square-foot facility that it is presently building at New York International Plaza in the Town of New Windsor.
ENAP, which was formed by six lumber dealers in 1967 to buy roofing products more competitively and currently has 440 ship-to-locations, is presently based at 121 Executive Drive in New Windsor. The 37-year-old company will move into the Class A office building in the summer of 2005 and will occupy the building's second floor. Bob Scherreik of McBride Corporate Real Estate was the broker.
"We're delighted ENAP chose to stay in this area and relocate to New York International Plaza," said First Columbia Vice President Chris Bette, noting that his company is working on signing up tenants for the building's first floor. "Keeping these jobs in the Town is significant, especially when ENAP expects to grow considerably.”
“This is our corporate office and it was always our desire to keep our corporate family in the New Windsor area for the convenience of our employees, if a suitable home could be found,” said ENAP President/CEO C.C. Snyder. “We were fortunate to find a developer like First Columbia. The company has a sterling reputation and I think it will be a good marriage.
“We’ve developed our strategic plans through the end of the decade,” he added, “and this facility will enable us to accomplish those plans and accommodate our projected substantial growth.”
Continued New Windsor Supervisor George Meyers: “It’s a smart move for ENAP to move to New York International Plaza. The site is poised to explode with growth once the I-84 access road to the airport is approved. Companies that choose to move there now show substantial foresight.”
Located adjacent to Stewart International Airport, inside the New York State designated Stewart-Newburgh Empire Zone, and within easy access to I-87 and I-84, New York International Plaza is First Columbia's premier commercial corporate park. Businesses based at the park include: LSI/ Lightron, Inc., Mid-Hudson Family Health, Westchester Cardiology, Hudson Valley Imaging, Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp., Empire State Development, Oxy-Vita, American Petroleum, McGoey, and Hauser & Edsall.
